Afirma que le contraría sobremanera el haber tenido que suprimir la Cátedra de la materia Geografía de la cual Córdova Iturburu era Profesor Titular. Enfatiza que realizó esta supresión bajo presión directa de las autoridades del Ministerio de Instrucción Pública, empeñadas en reducir la partida presupuestaria para el Conservatorio Nacional. Señala que otras cuatro materias fueron suprimidas antes de hacerlo con Geografía. Sostiene que al año siguiente el Ministerio podría llegar a revertir esta medida, se ofrece a apoyar cualquier petición de Córdova Iturburu en ese sentido. envía buenos votos y saludos a Córdova Iturburu y su familia, pide disculpas por el desmañado estilo de su carta.
