La presente Subserie contiene notas sobre la Guerra Civil Española escritas por Córdova Iturburu al calor de los hechos y publicadas en el periódico Orientación (ejemplares incompletos). Asimismo, la conforman adelantos publicados también en Orientación por Córdova de su libro España bajo el comando del pueblo (publicado en diciembre de 1938), lo que permitiría inferir parte del proceso escriturario del mismo. En segundo término, también los periódicos (siempre incompletos) Orientación coleccionados por el productor contienen reseñas de autoría de terceros a su libro El viento en la bandera (1947).
