Este fondo de archivo está compuesto casi íntegramente por manuscritos originales de trabajos de Milcíades Peña, entre ellos los seis capítulos que inicialmente pensó que integrarían su Historia del Pueblo Argentino, editada póstumamente como volúmenes separados. También se incluyen anotaciones sobre temas filosóficos, políticos y económicos, y manuscritos inéditos sobre imperialismo e industrialización.
